6am at theatre de la ville waiting for pina bausch tickets...
we waited 5 hours for a ticket, which seemed normal for my fellow parisian dance lovers: pina has the status of a rock idol here. isn't that a lovely thought? I was so elated after getting a ticket that it dispelled my usual cynicism and I metaphorically stag-jumped the whole way home...

All looks far too civilised! I like the diversity here: a nice cross section of fans. Please tell me that pink chair lady was first in line...
#1 spot was for me (!), but she'd done this before: she made us write our names in order on a list which was fantastic when hoards of pina-fans turned up at 11am to squabble over 20 tickets...
