day 122
we are back in the suburbs again until our studio is ready on the 1st. there is a strange déjà vu happening here so I thought I would run with it and see how nemo was doing. alas, since the first time I shot him on day 11, things seem to have changed.
losing this nemo, who was pretty special in my heart, has made me a bit sad. he was my first!
but one of the things I discovered when I found this particular nemo, was that opening your eyes and really seeing the world around you, is something that takes practice...

If you look at photos of (my all time fave graffiti artist) Banksy's work, he always gives a time frame. Sometimes it only lasts for a couple of minutes, sometimes days. The important thing is that you captured this Nemo before it was too late.
"Imagine a city where graffiti wasn't illegal, a city where everybody could draw wherever they liked. Where every street was awash with a million colours and little phrases. Where standing at a bus stop was never boring. A city that felt like a party where everyone was invited, not just the estate agents and barons of big business. Imagine a city like that and stop leaning against the wall - it's wet."
Banksy, 2006
Okay, just had to add my Banksy mantra:
"It's always easier to get forgiveness than permission"
yeah that's so true. and capturing him before the gypsy squatters blew up the house with their meth-lab (as gordon is sure happened) is something that has charmed me no end...
